Capture Video with XVidCap in ubuntu

You can capture your screen's video in ubuntu very easily!

XVidCap is such a software which will capture your screen quite easily and smartly :) You may want to capture video of your desktop for documentation purpose or you may want to have a video of some activities in your desktop.

Just install XVidCap from Ubuntu Software Center and  enjoy capturing your screen smartly!

Its size is 2,859kB on disk. 

Go to-

Applications -> Ubuntu Software Center -> Sound & Video -> XVidCap

and then install it.
After installing you will find it in Applications -> Sound & Video -> XVidCap Screen Capture

You can save the video in MPEG or AVI files format.

পিচ্চিকালের আবোল তাবোল ছড়া/কবিতা

পিচ্চিকালে মাঝে মাঝে কবিতা লিখতাম আমি(একটু ভাব নেয়ার চেষ্টা করতাম আরকি!)। লিখেছিলাম ঝোঁকের বশে অর্থহীন কিছু লাইন। ছন্দ জ্ঞান কিছুই ছিলনা (এখনও নাই :P) তারই কয়েকটা এখানে দিচ্ছি। এগুলো যতটা না কারও পড়ার জন্য্‌...আসলে এগুলো সংরক্ষন করার জন্যই কোথাও লিখে রাখা।
সংবিধিবদ্ধ সতর্কিকরণঃ এসব পড়ে ইহাদের কবিতা হইবার যৌক্তিকতা নিয়ে প্রশ্ন তোলা নিরাপত্তার জন্য ক্ষতিকর।

সময়

                          ৯/১২/১৯৯৬

বাজে এখন আটটা 

পরেছে যে ঘন্টা

যখন সবাই ঘুমে

রাত বাজে বারোটা।

ভোর হয়ে এল

সবাই উঠে গেল;

শেষ হল সকাল 

শুরু হল দুপুর,

দুপুর গড়িয়ে এল

এবার বিকেল হল;

বিকেলে সবাই ছুটে

এল এবার খেলতে।

এভাবে গড়ায় দিন

সময় যেন রঙ্গিন।

  নাহ! এই কবিতাটা এখানে লিখতে গিয়েই আমি বিরক্ত...তাই অন্যদের অনুরোধ করছি বাচ্চাদের এইসব হাবিজাবি লেখার প্রশ্রয় না দেয়াই ভালো। নাহলে বেচারারাও বড় হয়ে হটাৎ করে তাদের লেখা দেখে আমার মতন ভয় পেইয়ে যাবে।

এবার একটা ইংরেজি কবিতা দেই...ইহাও কিছুই হয়নি :s

WHERE NATURE WHERE

                                                              14.5.2003

I want to live in natural beauty

                           without any duty.    

In the vast sea beach

In garden of apple or peach.

In the wilderness

In a great wide place.

Running in the green field-

Nothing is need to build.

On the big hill,

Far from any mill.

Where many many butterflies fly,

           many many birds in the sky.

I want to live in there-

what I described here.

There, there, there,

Where nature where.

এরপর যেটা দিচ্ছি সেটা অনেক বড় হয়ে লেখা। সম্ভবত ২০০৬ সালে লিখেছিলাম

সুন্দর দিনের আশায়

চারিদিকে আজ একি শুনি হায়!

যুদ্ধ যুদ্ধ সব দেশে ধায়।

নতুন সপ্ন যোগাবে যারা 

তারাই আজকে মানুষ কাঁদায়।

স্বার্থের দায়ে মিথ্যা বলে 

করছে পাপের পাল্লা ভারি,

আসন শাসন পাবার আশায় 

হচ্ছে কতই জারি জুরি।

মানুষ নাকি সৃষ্টি সেরা

সেই সৃষ্টির মুল্য কোথায়?

রক্ত দিয়ে বন্যা বানায়

কাঁদছে না কেউ কারো ব্যথায়।

লোভে পড়ে বিবেক ভুলে

করছে যারা পকেট মোটা-

খাচ্ছে মাছটা আস্ত ধরে

ফুঁটছেনা তাও গলায় কাঁটা।

আইন শাসনের কর্তা যারা

তারাই যদি ভাঙ্গে আইন

জনসাধারণ দোষ করলে

নিচ্ছে কারা তাদের ফাইন?

নিজের পায়েই কুড়াল মেরে 

হাসছ কেন খলখলিয়ে?

ভাবছো নাতো এসব নিয়েই 

পৃথিবীটা যায় তলিয়ে।

বিশ্বটাতো আমাদেরই 

জানো নিশ্চয় ক্ষতি হবে কার!

অনায় তবুও করছ কেন?

তোমাকেই যে নিতে হবে ভার!

পৃথিবীটা নষ্ট হলে

থাকব কোথায় আমরা সবাই?

তাই নিজেদের কল্যাণে 

সবাই এসো বিশ্ব সাজাই!

Multiple Terminal in One Window in UBUNTU

Some time it seems difficult and disgusting to maintain multiple terminals for different purpose. We have to minimise/maximise the different terminal windows or to open up all the windows, which is a bit hazy

For those people, who are really disgusted with the multiple windows for more than one terminal, I am here to introduce you with a application which will make your life easier

...and that is called Terminator

This brings the idea of "Multiple terminal in one window"
You can use a single window for multiple terminals. Just open Terminator then you can split the window horizontally or/and vertically to use the divided window as different terminals.

Lets have a look at this(Click on the image to see larger image) -



Its total size is 1,929kB on disk (with an add-on called Registers global key binding for applications -Python binding and without the add-on its only 94.2kB )

In ubuntu 10.10 you will get this software in the Ubuntu Software Center.
You can also use command to get that. Just type -

sudo apt-get install terminator

install it and enjoy :

Using Citycell ZOOM ZTE Modem in UBUNTU 10.04

Hello ZOOM users!

I think you all faced the problem to use zoom in Ubuntu, right?

I was suffering from the problem for many since I am using ZTE Internet
modem. I talked to the Zoom experts of Citycell, they gave some
solution, but that didn't work indeed. I tried and tried...failed :(



I couldn't use Ubuntu for this reason(not having Internet access).

At last I have decided to change my zoom modem.



Some days ago UBUNTU 10.04 came. I installed it in my PC and found that
zoom is working here!

I had inserted the modem and click in the connection icon (in the right
side in upper panel) and saw that a new modem connected and then
configure from VPN configure.When you go to the VPN configure and want
to add the connection to the mobile broad band it will show you the
device name(ZTE incorporated ZTE CDMA Tech). After clicking forward you
have to give the country name(Bangladesh), provider(Citycell) and then
it ask for your number (#777), user name(waps), password(waps). Then
click apply. you are now connected to the Internet.

easy, isn't it?
Try it now :)


I am very very happy that I can now use Internet in UBUNTU :D
UBUNTU 10.04 is awesome...great!!! I love it
